FAQ

We Are Here To Help You With Any Questions You May Have

Yes, we can but we will need to upgrade all the duct work and vent sizes.
If there is no display on the remote check the batteries. To remove the batteries slide the remote panel down to reveal the other buttons, when it stops give it an extra tug to slide the panel off completely.

The battery compartment should now be exposed. If replacing the batteries does not fix the issue, then make a note of the model number sticker on the back of the remote and contact our office for a replacement remote.

If the remote has a display but it is not controlling the air conditioner, there maybe an issue with one of the boards inside the air conditioner. Try resting the system from the main power source, switch the power to the air conditioner off and leave off for 20 to 30 minutes. When you switch the system back on, leave it for 15 mins to gather itself. If you continue to have issues you will need a technician to assess.
Absolutely NOT! Everything after the callout allotted time is then on an hourly rate. So if the technician returns to carry out a repair this does not incur another callout charge.
This is the million dollar question. There are certain things to take into consideration when trying to decide whether to repair or replace.

  • The age of the system?
  • How much is it going to cost to replace the system?
  • How much is the repair? Taking into consideration that other faults may occur after the initial diagnosed fault is repaired.
  • Warranty period on parts/repair compared to a replacement.
  • Wait time for repair – for some older system parts can be unavailable or even have to be sourced from overseas, and these can take 6-8 weeks minimum.

We would say it’s worth paying for a technician to assess the faulty system before making a decision. If you decide to go with a replacement rather than a repair we will credit your Diagnostic Callout fee.
Smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years and replace batteries every year at the start of day light savings.
